APPGM-SDG Research Article Writing Competition
Theme: Grassroots Issues in Parliamentary Constituencies
The APPGM-SDG Research Article Writing Competition is held for the first time to support the production of high‑quality scholarly writings by Malaysian researchers, using APPGM-SDG’s issue mapping reports and associated publications, including situational analysis and parliamentary policy papers.
We invite abstract submissions of no longer than 300 words in Bahasa Melayu or English that address grassroots issues falling within the broad themes of social, economic, environmental, and governance.

Open to Malaysian citizens from a wide range of backgrounds including:
Parliament and MP staff and researchers
Think tanks, CSOs and NGOs
Academics
Postgraduate students enrolled in local and overseas universities
Civil servants
UN and other international agency staff
Independent researchers and interested members of the public

Thirty selected papers
will each receive a prize of RM 500
02.
Ten papers
will be invited to compete in an SDG Parliamentary Research Symposium
03.
Top three presentations
will each receive a cash prize of RM2,000
04.
thirty selected papers
will be published in a book to be launched in early 2027
