The solution partner for this project is LAILAZIM DECO & NURSERY, Selangor. This is a food forest project at SMKJ Yoke Kuan, aiming to plant 1,750 trees (herbs, edible palm trees, and fruit trees) in the school area. It is aligned with the goals of promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental education, and community involvement (PIBG, students, SEED MALAYSIA). The project incorporates the use of bokashi composting methods into food forest management practices. Neem and chili are used as organic pesticides.
The Community Garden Unit has also provided funding to local communities to carry out community garden projects through small grants worth no more than RM40,000 for each project.
