SOLUTION PROJECT 1

The Student Association of the Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development in UNIMAS is aiming to improve marketing and promote small farmer and SME activities in the P200 Batang Sadong area.

This project which funded by APPGM-SDG planned to enhance marketing and promoting the small farmers and SME activities around P200 Batang Sadong. It is an opportunity for the local farmers to enhanced their product marketing and providing a platform for them to sell their local product.

The pilot project will create more platform for them to market, sell and maintaining networking for their existence in the market itself. By maintaining the proper marketing and selling strategy with the agencies involved like FAMA, the continuity of SDG for the locals are expected to arise. Involved data collection, 2 pilot project and final project.

The project aims to benefit farmers, community leaders and SME around P200 Batang Sadong. The project duration is five (5) months from June to October with an allocation of RM70,000.00.

SOLUTION PROJECT 2

Project description

MYReader’s Proficiency Learning Centres (PLC) can help language teachers in Batang Sadong to improve their English language proficiency and teaching skills.

The solution project for the teachers in Batang Sadong involve collecting information for workshop content, development of workshop content and resources, introduction to PLC groups, and teacher coaching session.

The solution project funded by the APPGM-SDG will boost teachers’ confidence and motivation, as well as students’ interests and confidence. Not only that, it will help the teachers to advance their teaching knowledge and skills.

The project is to benefit a total number of 19 female teachers and male teachers in Batang Sadong community. The solution provider of this project is Persatuan Literasi Anak Malaysia (MYReader). The project duration is five (5) months from June to October with an allocation of RM29,000.00 by individually and RM26,500.00 if conducted online.

SOLUTION PROJECT 3

Narative writing

The solution project for the women, youth and the community ( as a whole) from Simunjan, Sadong Jaya and Gedong aims to become a catalyst to improve the livelihoods of the women and youth in Batang Sadong jurisdiction by 2021. This project is a breast cancer awareness program which focusing on sewing.

The project proposed of three phases which include training workshop and product marketing. The solution project funded by the APPGM-SDG opens up opportunity and chances for the targeted beneficiaries to be able to produce and market their product. The livelihoods of the marginalized women and youth in Batang Sadong are hope to improve.

The solution provider of this project is Yayasan Salam Malaysia. The project duration is three (3) months from September to November with an allocation of RM20,000.00.

The main SDGs impacted through this solution project is SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

SOLUTION PROJECT 4

NARATIVE WRITING

The awareness and prevention of dengue program in the P200 Batang Sadong area is a program designed to increase awareness of dengue-related diseases by implementing awareness activities, talks, gotong-royong and sanitation practices throughout the 3 DUN under P200 Batang Sadong.

With the help of selected agencies, this program will be able to help raise awareness among the participants related to the prevention and rehabilitation of dengue-borne diseases.

The organizers will also involve relevant government agencies such as the Ministry of Health Malaysia (Vector Carried Unit), Resident’s Office, District Office, and Ketua Masyarakat dan Ketua Kaum (KMKK) as well as the P200 Batang Sadong area Parliament Office.

The solution project funded by the APPGM-SDG widens awareness among participants and the community in Batang Sadong to practice towards better prevention of dengue-related vector. Thus, this will contribute to better health and life for all involved communities.

The solution provider of this project is Persatuan Mahasiswa Fakulti Sains Kognitif dan Pembangunan Manusia (PESAKMA). The project duration is five (5) months including paperwork and planning (starting from June to October) with an allocation of RM25,000.00.

The main SDGs impacted through this solution project is SDG 3: Good health and well-being.
