This project solution funded by APPGM-SDG will provide specific skills training to marginalized groups who need immediate monitoring of education and sources of income, especially to survive the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. This group consists of single mothers, minority communities (Indians, Chinese, others), fishing communities and students from B40 families who need more attention in the pursuit of educational excellence.
The types of training provided are sewing, cooking, access to tuition and guidance in the basics of business. This training can also address demand and supply issues in Muar such as the lack of tailors which makes it difficult for Muar residents to obtain such services.
The Muar Parliamentary Service Center will serve as the coordinator, fundraiser and regulator for this program due to the constraints of finding a coordinating body in Muar Parliamentary constituency. The project duration is three months with an allocation of RM39,934.00.

This project solution will provide specific guidance to the fishing community in the Muar Parliament who are interested in generating ancillary income to face the effects of sand dredging, trawling activities, delays and economic uncertainty in the COVID-19 pandemic era. This project aims to help fishing families in the Muar Parliament generate income to be more resilient in facing environmental and economic challenges, as well as to provide security needs for fishermen.
The type of training provided is on the basics and techniques of building a business. Participants will also be exposed to online business skills, in line with the latest purchasing trends.
This program can help fishermen’s families, whether husbands or wives, to jointly find income for the survival of the family. Part of the funds will also be used to buy safety jackets for fishermen.
The solution provider of this project is Persatuan Kebajikan Prihatin Muar (Muar Care). The project duration is two months with an allocation of RM39,960.00.
