SOLUTION PROJECT 1

PROJECT DESCRIPTION​

The purpose of this solution project is to maximize the use of land and natural resources through the development of Swiftlet Houses (RBW) in the affected areas around Kg Kelor, Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

The proposed development of RBW is one of the ways for local people to appreciate the natural resources in the local area, in fact they can also generate income for the people through one of the elements in agro-agriculture in Malaysia. The RBW construction project also opens up opportunities in creating a local learning center related to the swiftlet nest industry.

The project activities involve the construction of swiftlet houses and training in the management and operation of swiftlet houses.

The solution project funded by the APPGM-SDG widens and diversifies opportunities to overcome the rising cost of living, leveraging the economic potential to provide an alternative sustainable income for the people of Pasir Mas. This project can not only help the participants to generate more income, but also the construction of RBW can also produce downstream products canal.

The project is to benefit participants selected from Kg Kelor based on the selection of the ADUN/Parliament office based on their ability and desire to succeed in this project.

The solution provider of this project is Wan Damak Empire. The project duration is four months including construction of swiftlet house (RBW) and RBW Management Training with an allocation of RM50,000.00.

The main SDGs impacted through this solution project are Goal 1 – End poverty in all its forms everywhere and Goal 8 – Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

SOLUTION PROJECT 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION​

Financial Management and E-Marketing Program is a program that can empower small entrepreneurs in Kampung Tal Tujuh to focus and have a vision for large-scale success.

From challenges with hiring to maintaining product relevance, small businesses face countless obstacles every day. Financial challenges, however, tend to loom the largest. Not only are business finances a complex, ever-changing entity, but they’re also the engine of any operation.

For example, managing a cash flow is a struggle for many entrepreneurs. Similar to this, digital marketing is another area that become a great concern for many entrepreneurs particularly entrepreneurs from rural areas. Most of them still using offline local advertising method which already obsoleted. Now is the time the small entrepreneurs doing all of it business online and with the knowledge from this program; E-Marketing will embrace and help them to see and do it. Beneficiaries will be 20 small entrepreneurs both male and female Pasir Mas, Kelantan (aged between 20 – 46 y/o) who start and running their small businesses.

Through the hands-on activities in both programs, the knowledge transferred to the entrepreneurs will provide them a better financial plan which allow them to continue their businesses. Mentoring process also will be focus to the participants so that this program can help to build an entrepreneurial community. This project solution funded by APPGM-SDG will empower small entrepreneurs in the community, achieving business knowledge and digital mindset which allow them to have a vision for large-scale success.

The solution provider of this project is Dr Sathiswaran Uthamaputhran, Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. The project duration is four months with an allocation of RM13,000.00.

SOLUTION PROJECT 3

PROJECT DESCRIPTION​

Blacksmith Project is a project that aims to give opportunities to youth in Kampung Jejuluk, Slow Machang, Pasir Mas to learn and experiment for their own products in metal field.

The project will guide and train a total of 15 male youths who will be selected by an experienced hardware blacksmith through a mentor-mentee concept.

The training and seminars given are more on the introduction of iron types, forging learning, use of machines and handling of equipment. Participants will also be given the opportunity to learn and experiment for the production of their own products.

This project can open up opportunities and build career opportunities for young people. The training provided can generate a stable income for the participants as long as they are determined and highly committed.

This project will produce many more entrepreneurs in the field of ironwork in the future where the demand for iron -based end products is very high in the local and regional markets.

The solution provider of this project is Muhamad Ariff bin Muhamad. The project duration is four months with an allocation of RM25,000.00.

SOLUTION PROJECT 4

Project description

Customers are an asset to the organization. Without customers, an organization would not exist. Accordingly, an orderly organizational structure and procedures with operations guided by specific rules and protocols are required for customer management.

This course allows participants in Pasir Mas to be more responsible, professional, and proactive when managing clients. It aims to increase participants’ self-confidence when communicating with customers who often communicate by phone or in person. Some of the techniques featured in this course aim to change the attitude of the participants towards a higher level of professionalism towards customer service.

Participants will also be guided on ways to provide accurate and fast information to customers. They will also experience a change of mindset to take on higher responsibilities and positions while helping the organization achieve its goals and vision and highlight the organization with sustainable development within the organization.

This project solution can train participants to provide the best services and in line with Malaysia’s sustainable development. Good customer management and communication will produce and shape respected and excellent civil servants. In this way, the participants of this course are not only able to understand, but they are also able to apply the goals and concepts of sustainable development in their careers and daily lives.

The beneficiaries of this project solution funded by APPGM-SDG are 40 participants consists of Kumpulan Sokongan Gred 19/21, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Pasir Mas, Kumpulan Sukarelawan, Volunteer Group, Pasir Mas District Council, Community Leader, and NGO Pasir Mas.

The solution provider of this project is CUTECARRY SDN BHD. The project duration is three months with an allocation of RM11,000.00. The main SDGs impacted through this solution project is Goal 17 – Partnership for goal.

SOLUTION PROJECT 5

PROJECT DESCRIPTION​

The aim of this project solution is to renovate the existing three-child widow’s residence. The residence has no room or kitchen or toilet. Overall, the residence looks like a big store. The resident is not suitable to live with young children.

The allocation provided will be used to build a bedroom, kitchen and toilet. Indirectly, this project can also improve their quality of life in the future.

This project can improve the quality of life of a single mother family who is also a widow with 3 young children. This project can also build a sense of belonging and concern among community members who live in the village through gotong-royong activities.

The applicant is a single mother and a widow with 3 young children. She is not working because she has just given birth and expects kindness and donations from her elderly father.

The solution provider of this project is Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Ahli Parlimen Pasir Mas. The project duration is four months with an allocation of RM22,710.00.

The main SDG impacted through this solution project is Goal 1– Eradicate all forms of poverty worldwide.
